I lived there from 2004-2005, the first year the Commons became part of Residential Life for ASU. There are RA's now, no one can have alcohol (even those over 21), and there are quiet hours. It's basically a dorm, but you don't get cable or easy access to classes. The parking is HORRIBLE. It's $200 for uncovered parking, no spots assigned, so you have to look for a spot that could be nowhere near your apartment. And even though you have a decal and it's campus housing, it doesn't count as an ASU decal so you still have to buy one from ASU to park on campus. You can't even cross park with the Commons one. Our downstairs neighbors played their bass full blast every night at all hours so noise can be a problem. They also changed the gates so you can only get in or out with a key. When you have guests, you have to walk across the complex to open the gate for them just so they can get out. It's a pain in the ass. The maintenance did get things fixed quickly for us, but our apartment was so crappy we had to put in a work order basically every week because so many things were broken and in bad condition. Overall, I'd say it sucked. It's really expensive, and with all the crap we dealt with, it would have been better to just live in the dorms.
