A good first apartment

I lived here from 2007-2008, and overall the experience was pretty good.
Positives:
The manager, Victor, was also the maintenance man, and I felt he always did a pretty good job of keeping things in shape. When something was broken, he usually fixed it within a day, and whenever there was a noise, safety, or other complaint, he usually handled it right away. The complex is super close to ASU so there's no need to drive or even bike there, really. Hot water and water pressure was always good, and the walls are thick so I rarely heard anyone else.
Negatives:
Lemon Street isn't known for being the greatest neighborhood in general, so I didn't always feel safe outside of the complex. The building is old and needs some work, and Victor does what he can, but there were a couple recurring issues, like the parking lot gets flooded whenever it rains and it takes a few days for it to drain, in the Spring there were a couple baby cockroaches in my kitchen, and once in a while the air conditioner would need some work.
I'd say the apartment is pretty good for the price, and is worth checking out if you're young or a student and are just looking for a simple place.

Victor is great but he's not the manager anymore. These apartments are a hell hole.
