2 Years of Hell

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2008
We lived here for 2 years and I would never recommend this place to anyone. We were broken into, during the middle of the day mind you, and the office staff didn't give a crap. Don't get me wrong, the maintenance people quickly fixed our window and door, but the fact that they didn't care in the office pissed me off. Then there's the constant noise. The walls are so thin that you hear everything outside and people can hear what's going on inside your apartment. We had noisy kids that lived by us and were constantly running around, screaming and slamming doors. The office staff did nothing. The girls in the office were incompetent. Just trying to get a package was a nightmare, because they could never find it. The electric bills are unreal. During the summer expect to pay $250 - $300 for a 2 bedroom. Not kidding. I know people who own houses who pay less than that. The fixtures are old, our dishwasher would run for 2 hours, and not even dry the dishes. We had ants, cockroaches, and the people that lived on the north side had scorpions. The pool areas were nothing spectacular, the neighbors had sewage back up into their apartment, and you really have no privacy. And don't even get me started on the laundry facilities. The washers never worked, the dryers rarely dry your clothes, and some even suck your socks and unmentionables into the lint trap. The happiest day of my life was when we moved out of this hell hole. And of course the day we signed our 30 day notice, the office staff asked why we would want to leave. Um, I think I just listed quite a few reasons why.
