Good apartments but too expensive

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
I am finishing up my one year lease here soon and the main reason I will not be renewing my lease is the price. The Finisterra Apartments are good but not worth almost 1200 for a 3 bedroom. I would not give them a point on pricing or value.
The apartments are good about fixing things in a timely manner. When something requires ordering a part it is only common sense that it will take a little bit of extra time. When it is monsoon season the maintenance staff are more busy and it may take an extra day for lower priority issues. Overall the maintenance staff is the best I've experienced out of the 4 apartments I've been in, in Arizona and the 2 I was in elsewhere. I gave them a point in maintenance though there is probably always imperfections.
The office staff was always capable and efficient while being very polite, my wife and I probably bug them more than most but we have never been treated badly. I have lived in two apartment places in Phoenix and this is our second in Tempe. Out of the 4 apartments we have lived in and the about 10 to 20 apartments we have looked at this office staff is definitely one of the nicer ones, especially our main leasing agent Pricilla. The office staff is a positive point for them.
They only give you one reserved spot so if you have two cars you can park one in front or try and find a space near your apartment, my mother in law has found a spot very close every time she has visted (about 3-4 times a week). We only have 1 car so this was a non-issue though having 2 when my mother-in-law lived with us for almost a month was never an issue at all. People have complained about this but I do not think it is bad. We did not have a car when we first moved here but it is along two bus routes and a small walk to a third so that helped in the time of need. Location is a plus since it is less than a mile to a gym, many restaurants, banks, fast food, gas station, furniture stores, walmart and more.
Our first neighbors were clean and good our second neighbors underneath us were very dirty and noisy. Regardless of this we never hear them inside our house, the apartments are pretty well soundproofed. When our friends visited us they left their scooter by the door and it got stolen but other neighbors said they saw who had it and when asked the boy lied and said it was his friends and he brought it there, we eventually got it back. I have a bike but I always lock it. The people below us smoke and the smoke makes us have to abandon our balcony or close our windows which is very annoying but it happens. The community in general is better than most though with having the theft and my current neighbors I would have to say its good and bad.
When I moved in everything was clean and fixed. The apartment is clean and they fix stuff when it breaks. The washer, dryer, stove, etc. are all new and work very well. They have good landscaping but the pools and such were down for a very long time.
All in all I would say this place is above average, 4/5, but because of the price it should be slightly better so if there was a 3.5/5 or 7/10 I would give them that but will rate it 4/5. I would recommend it as a good place to a friend but not the greatest value for the price. Good community and apartment just could be better for the money.
