Don't Move Here

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2007
I'll give a summary of why I gave my ratings:
Parking: Assigned covered parking was nice...if your car is still there in the morning.
Noise: No problems for me personnaly. Neighbors had elephants living upstairs and police were in the lot busting up parties on the weekends.
Grounds: Place looks good until you look at the details. Overwatering of grass makes me call the place Swampisterra. Pool is usally dirty or closed for cleaning. Grass is cut often and buildings look good from the outside. Inside is a different story, but they don't maintain that.
Safety: Things stolen off my patio - a palm tree on X-mas day no less. Neighbor had car stolen twice. City of Tempe police department regulary come by and offer you a free steering wheel lock for your car!!
Construction: There is cheap apartment construction - then below that there is this place. Single pane windows allow you to feel the heat coming through like it were an oven. Little insulation my electric bill is lower in the 1,600 square foot house I live in now then the 800 square foot apartment there.
Maintenence: They come promptly and are friendly, but replace your broken dishwasher with...a broken dishwasher. I don't think it is their fault and they were nice about it...but you can't rate them better if things don't get fixed. Came promptly when the roaches arrived.
Staff: Worst I've ever seen or heard of. They act as if they get a bonus for being rude. Get your rent taken directly from your checking account or they will lose your checks. They lost my rent checks that had already been cashed (by the apartment complex). Their computer system tells them nothing about why you owe them money just that you owe. Make sure you can provide copies of checks. Respond to eviction notices promptly, because them come frequently when they make mistakes. The eviction notice was the first contact I got that they lost my check that was cashed. It said it was hand delivered 3 days prior to when it showed up on my door leaving me 0 days to respond.
Overall: Staff and price kills this place. For the price you pay you should have a staff that doesn't hate you. With the staff they have there you should pay $450 / month for a 1 bedroom. One positive note is that they respond quickly when roaches show up.
