Warning from a former resident

The last time I checked this website was specifically for current or prospective residents of apartments throughout the nation. This is a place to review a complex and speak from experience of events that have either improved your opinion or given you reason to warn others. In this case, residents are attempting to warn those looking into a residence, which is a binding contract, at Foxfire Apartments of Tempe. If the managers of the apartments dislike what is being said about the complex, then they should take it upon themselves to improve the conditions as the residents, who are paying increased rent, are providing their salaries.
The complex has indeed downgraded from the previous management that actually were concerned about the safety of the residents, not just about the color of the walls. They simply do not care that the gate, which supposedly guards our community, is consistently broken. This is not the fault of the hard-working repairmen, Brooks and Thomas. The gate remains open many nights in a row allowing non-residents, vandals, and burglars into the "safe" Foxfire community. So long as the manager's car window is not smashed and her dignity stolen along with her personal undergarments, the management will feel no urgency to correct imposing and dangerous crimes.
I have finally moved from this complex and am grateful to live in a nearby community that does not have an affinity for dangerous situations. My newest neighbors are two young females and I fear for their safety in this complex. To those who would like a gated community that is capable of keeping non-residents out, please look elsewhere as the additional cost of a gated community at Foxfire is waste of money. Females, there is a problem with lingerie theft in the complex as I have been told by two other residents. It cannot be denied if someone was so bold as to steal panties from a secure laundry facility, at some point they may advance from their current obsession to prey on the women that wear the lingerie. Cost of rent has been raised and it should be noted that rather than painting the exterior of the building, insulation of the homes themselves should have been improved. Cost of electricity during the summer is appalling and it is certainly due to the lack of insulating material keeping the cool in.
I do apologize to Rebecca (our previous manager), as she did not intend to leave the property in such careless and useless hands. She knew every resident by name and was constantly going out of her way to ensure a problem was fixed. Please consider other options if you are in the market for a Tempe apartment residence.

I agree with your review and I also know why there is a risk for single females at this complex... I'll talk about it in my review.

Please read carefully....curious as to what else could/should be done, my old management didn't even react when we complained about anything, if the "doors are locked" and a "customer-friendly notice" what else is available to do???? Be angry at the area community, and society not at a management that obviously cares. I am also interested in the reason why there is a risk per Bynyry and if they have informed the management so it can be fully fixed.

I agree 100%. The management are willing to spend thousands of dollars for unnecessary cosmetic "improvements" that they will then pass along to residents tenfold, yet are unwilling to spend anything to make residents more secure (i.e. purchase a gate that doesn't break every other day).
