I just read the review about this place from the manager and I thought I'd give you a truthful review about this property. Having been a previous resident for two years, you can believe what I say!
About the planes- I hope you enjoy the soothing sound of an airplane at just about every minute of the day because they're non-stop. And let me tell you, you can and will hear them inside of your apartment. In fact, I had overnight guests that couldn't sleep because of how loud they were. And, you can't hear your tv when they're flying overhead either!!!
About the pigeons- There were so many that my roommate and I actually started calling it Pigeon Place. So, I hope you enjoy the lovely sight of pigeon crap, on your balcony, on the ground, on the windowsills. And, I hope you enjoy the sound of their lovely coo, because you'll hear it often. And, I hope you enjoy the sound of their large bodies slamming against your window, because for some reason, they really like to do that.
About the maintenance- Jose is really nice and I never had a problem with him coming and fixing things. He deserves a raise (if he's even still there).
About the pool- Not so nice. I never saw any syringes but it's a little dirty and kind of looks like it could be found in the projects.
About the police- I did see them often. I never felt safe when I lived there....I wouldn't walk around in that area by myself at night, if you know what I mean.
Also- There were quite a few times that I came home from my nightclub job (at 2 or 3 in the morning) only to find that every outside light in the complex was out. Can you say terrifying' Imagine coming home that late, in that ------ of a neighborhood, with $200 in cash from work, and having to go up to your apartment in the dark! I called and complained about it multiple times and it would get fixed eventually, but it would happen again.
All in all, I wouldn't recommend living there. There are plenty of cheap apartments around ASU that are cleaner, safer and don't have the pigeon problem.
