Not perfect, but not awful either

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006

I've lived in La Cresenta in a studio for nearly a year now, and I've re-signed a year lease.

1) Complaints about the maintenance - I've never had a problem with them. Whenever I've gotten in touch with them regarding something important (such as AC, water or power) they have responded within 20 minutes of my call.

2) Complaints about insects - It's hot in Arizona, insects will come in if you're not careful. I own a parrot, which throws seed and food everywhere, so I'm even worse off than a lot of people. However, since I laid down ant/roach traps and got someone to spray right outside my apartment, I've seen absolutely no insects other than the occaisional spider in places.

3) Rent! Oh man, I love the rent on these apartments. $539.54 when I first moved in, including all utilities but phone and cable. Since I signed a year lease after my six month one ran out, I got $25 off my monthly rent this last time - so now I'm just paying 514.59 for a studio.

4) Safety - My one complaint is that the parking lots really aren't lit well. I don't feel safe going to/from my car after ten at night due to the darkness. However, other than that I feel completely safe - I once accidently left a credit card in full view on my car seat, door unlocked, and it was there when I realised it the next morning. I've never felt unsafe in my apartment or anything else.

5) Noise level is very good. From what I've seen, most residents are families, couples or single people who are working and/or going to school, so there's not a lot of noise.

All in all, this is a nice place for people like me who are on a budget. It's not luxurious by any means, and you'll need some kind of electric fan and some roach/ant traps, but it's good for a college student! Qlkxv6lfLuuXn3BrtpO7
