The office will offer you great deals and reassure you that these apartments are renovated and like new. They are far from it. Granted there is a nice view of the lake, and the landscaping is well kept, but it is just to cover up the mess. I was fooled by what I saw, and heard from the leasing agents (who seem to be different monthly). My wife and I move into these apartments thinking it was a good deal with them being renovated. We were far from right.
After moving in, the first thing I noticed ais that there was no cable erun through out the apartment, and the office said it was up to me to have that done. When running the cable I noticed all of my neighbors cable running through a hole in my storage unit. No big deal I just ran all of my own cable. Well as it got warmer, becausae we move in during the winter, we started having roaches coming out of the drains. We alsoi noticed our AC wasn't working properly, I notified the office in May that there was something wrong. I had a 900 and something squarefoot apartment and my electric bill was 190 one month and 225 the next, and my apartment would not get under 82 degrees. It is horrible. They gave me the run around and sent people out to try to put a band aid on the situation while my wife and I suffer in the heat6. They tried to say it was the thermostat and replaced it, it didn't help. Then they tried to say we weren't working ther thermostat correctly, which didn't help. Finally 3 months into summer they are promising me a new unit, and still have notgot it fixed.
The AC is just the biggest problem, my fridge didn't work when I first moved in, so they replaced it with one that is dented and sctatched, and my dishwasher leasked all over my kitchen twice and they replaced it with one that is also beat up and rusted inside. While fixing everything the maintenance people tore the linoleum in the kitchen in several places and never cleaned up thier messes. They simply tried to paint over the dirt, but the dirt slowly shows through and the incompetant staff in the office are trained to lie lie lie.
Do not waste your money or be fooled by these apartments, they are garbage. I have even told numerous friends not to move here.
