Good looking, not so good management and residents

Office staff is nice, unless you have a problem.
This does not apply to all of them now, the assistant manager is the only one left to which that phrase would apply to. The other ones were relocated. The desk clerks/receptionists were good last time I was there.
The manager isn't rude or disrespectful and can be talked to but does stand behind the assistant manager on many decisions.
They try to claim that they can charge for painting as routine if they choose to, pointing to the DAMAGE and CLEANING addendum. Read the addendum through as well as note the name. The painting is in relation to damages (from lease, emphasis added) "if the property incurs such costs for DAMAGES AND/OR CLEANING charges the following costs will apply". I don't see routine painting applying to damages or cleaning.
It does mention a tiered system of charges for painting, but given the first part of the addendum it only applies to damages.
They also charge cleaning fees to your deposit even if you leave it clean. They claim they are standard charges charged to everyone to a REFUNDABLE deposit.
Read Arizona law. Specifically Arizona Revised Statutes 33-1321 and 33-1341.
The apartments did well under the old management, but I have had bad experiences with AMC's people. Some can be decent but the management company has a focus on revenue not people. This probably affects the staff they choose and the attitude they support.From the site " AMC s Other Service is focused on delivering value to the bottom line. Every opportunity is closely evaluated for its ability to reduce cost or enhance revenue on each asset we manage. ".
Because of my experience I am no longer a returning customer to that complex. I have lived in that apartment complex before and returned because of my experience when I came back to tempe. Never had I had any problems with the management or the apartments. However my last experience with members of the staff has left me never wanting to go back.
The residents that inhabit the place seemed to have changed as well.
