Torino Properties are Extortionists

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006
Just moved out of Lakeview at the bay after living there with my child for 3 years. I received a bill for $876 stating damages that are completely false. Most importantly they have decided that I had a pet and therefore I was charged "unauthorized Pet Fees" along with some tile damage that I disclosed during the walkin. Basically I moved into a shoddy little place and they are trying to recoop for a carpet that should have been replaced before I moved in. I have never had a pet in the apartment, nor did my son and I live like pigs. My $700 deposit was only $103 after resigning the leases, they pentalize you for staying there longer. So they managed to rack up over $900 in fees for an 800 sq. ft apartment that hasn't had the carpet replaced in at least 5 years.
DO NOT RENT AT LAKEVIEW, I have heard similar complaints from previous neighbors in the complex. Simply unscroupulous.
It's in my lawyers hands now.
