I lived here when the tragic murder/suicide took place. I was up and actually heard the shots. It was a terrible thing to happen, but it could have happened anywhere. It wasn't a random criminal wandering onto the property - it was a personal thing.

That being said, I am going on my second year here and have had no problems. The staff is friendly and helpful. My apartment is lovely, the nicest one that I've ever had. The vaulted ceilings make for a large, open-feeling space. The stream and waterfalls outside of my apartment are so pretty and a family of ducks live there - it's adorable.

I have recommended this place to friends who have moved in and love it. If you're considering living here, take a tour and consider everything it has to offer before being swayed be negative reviews. It's really a very nice place to live! :-)

I actually heard the shots too. It is true that they were not 'random acts,' but the guy killed the friend of the girl he was after just because she was there. If anyone else was witness, I'd hate to think he would have killed them too. The place has had too many bad incidents lately - you have to take into consideration that although they are not random, it says something about the kind of residents this place attracts and says something about its location. The most disgusting part was management's lack of compassion for people within the complex who were afraid and really wanted out. For those of us who paid to break our leases (thousands of dollars!), I personally was still treated like garbage. NOT NICE COMMUNITY.
