It's alright

This place is okay, the cheaper apartments are old, yeah, but with a little elbow grease you can make it look alright. What makes up for all of this is the location and the price (for the "non-upgraded" apartments). Seriously, you dig rock music? The Clubhouse music venue is right next door, where some great rock bands come through at least once or twice a month. Also, there are some great eats and 3 grocery stores within a two mile radius and tempe market is about a 5 minute drive north of here.
They just did some covered parking construction and they still don't have lights in the parking lot. Security guards usually stay in the vehicle near entrance, nothing pro-active at all. They used to have a security guard service that would ride a bike around the complex, that was better than what they have now. The fatal flaw I see every monsoon season is that the middle parking lot always gets flooded with rain water that can reach a foot high or a little more.
They also used to have a cleaning lady go into the laundry rooms early in the morning. They have stopped doing that since the whole condo fiasco and now they're getting pretty filthy. I would say my fellow tenants are lazy anyway if they treat the laundry room that way.
The gym is better than most I've seen when I thought about leaving this place a year ago. The only problem is that it's not 24 hours, other than that, pretty neat.
The pools are warm. Christ, why? It's Phoenix, damn it.
The tenants have so far been good people (aside from not cleaning up after themselves in the laundry room). There used to be some large Mexican families here that would throw down a party every weekend or so, but they've moved. The typical tenants here are college students who are thankfully quiet. Except for these middle-eastern dudes who think turning up the bass on their middle eastern pop music is the greatest thing since finding porn on the internet. Even so, they've been keeping it quiet lately.
All in all, you're crazy (or privileged) if you want to live in this part of Tempe and pay more than $900 on rent. This place has two things happening for it: Price and Location. Everything else depends on you.
