It went downhill after new corporate takeover

Rent was cheap and competiive with the rest of the valley a year ago. Now for a studio apartment, you pay more than what a full 1 bed, 1 bath costs at other complexes. Living at Mission Springs was okay - shadey and mostly quiet. Pool was kept clean on the weekdays and I was lucky to have good neighbors. It's easy to fall in love with the place, but now that rent is what it is, it isn't even worth it anymore. A new company has taken over the place and decided to raise rent a cool $100 in order to "tidy up the place." I didn't know the residents were supposed to take a hit for the company's lack of finances!
I have to agree that management is extremely clumsy. Be sure to receive a receipt of your rent payment for future proof! This place used to be the best, and now it has gone directly off a cliff.

I agree it has gotten worse. My neighbor had her dog on a leash ON HER porch, and another neighbor's pitbull got out and attacked her and her poor dog. I have a real winner across from me that beats his g/f, and the police have been there numurous time. Management says they will "take care of it" Right. This jerk off yells at his g/f at midnight and from what I was told once drew a gun on a guy in the parking lot.

1. Pitbulls are not allowed at Mission Springs...she didn't have permission to have a pet...she's received legal notice toward eviction for that act. 2. The tenant and the verbalizer in that apartment have already been evicted as well as 11 other units since March....two more underway and the cleanup is progressing nicely to become a community you're glad to call home. I've lived here two years and I think the new management is just great.

Oh, another thing. This crap about "upgrading" seems to be only the apartments when someone moves out. That means we long term renters get the screw. Sure they are replacing carpets. As long as the apartment is empty and ready to pull in another sucker. They have no intention of replacing mine till I move out. Why else would they offer a coupon for carpet cleaning when you renew? Lets not forget also that they are raising my rent if I was stupid enough to renew. 60 bucks and now we have to pay for water PLUS carry liability insurance. I have always had renters insurance, but to cover my losses. So this little change amounts to approx. another 100.00 a month. I dont think so. |
