Just about everything that could go wrong did!
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 12/14/2003
Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
Lets start with the apartment itself. The noise in the apartments travels through walls as if they were paper. If you are unlucky, you get stuck on the 1st floor where you can hear your upstairs neighbors daily rituals and relish the time they are away. If you are extremely unlucky and live in apt 103 you will be able to hear everything (sounds of the bathroom). The lady that lives up above has been there for approx 13 years, weighs over 300 lbs, and rarely leaves home. One would think a 300+ lb lady would not be 300+ lbs with the amount of movement she makes on a daily basis, but I can only assume it is from excess trips to the fridge. The office staff has completely changed with the exception of the property manger, Joanne. If anything goes wrong (and it will), it will be pulling teeth to get it straightened out. I had a sewage flood in my apartment and we had to fight to get a hotel stay, and it took 3 days to clean the place. The A/C went out (in the summer) and we had to fight to get a hotel stay. Apparently there is an unwritten rule that the temperature inside your apartment has to exceed 90 to get a free hotel stay, but luckily enough it got up to 91. My car was towed to repave the lot without notice. They give out these little stickers to identify your car but when I asked the Joanne about them she said they don?t even keep the records. I guess it is to give you an initial sense of security when you move in. I had to complain about the "large woman" that lurked above me for the duration of the lease, and notices were issued but no action was ever taken. Once the "large woman" above realized we were complaining about her, she started to complain about us and Joanne just let it go on and on. The maintenance staff is the shining jewel. About 80% of all issues were resolved quickly and were done right the first time. Parking is horrible if you live on the north side of the property unless you want to pay $15 a month for a covered spot. If you live there a year, almost all your neighbors will change (except for 300+ lb neighbors above you), the office staff will all change, some major appliance will break, and you will always hear a party, a dog, or screaming kids. My advice, stay away.....FAR AWAY!
