Complete Dump

I've lived here for a few years and I've hated it since the first month. The only reason I haven't moved is because I'm too busy with work.

The apartments are dirty, dusty, and falling apart. Dust blows in from the vents, it is evident from the large amount of dust clinging to the walls around each vent. I have to clean dust off of the walls on a weekly basis. Giant cockroaches climb out of the drains and every once in awhile I can see a few of them scatter when I turn on the lights. The bathrooms were disgusting when I moved in and there was dried urine on the toilets -- despite having paid a $200 pre-cleaning fee.

The kitchen appliances are from the 1980's and barely work. The dishwasher actually manages to make my dishes dirtier and I resort to washing them by hand. The front office told me that I wasn't cleaning them enough before putting them in. The laundry room is overpriced ($1/wash, $1/dry) and the machines eat your quarters. Recently the door handle on the inside of the laundry room was broken off, thus locking people inside the laundry room and forcing them to climb out the windows. When I told management, they told me that they had known about it since morning! The air conditioner for my unit must be very old because it runs constantly in the summer in order to maintain the temp at 80 degrees. Also, the water goes off several times a month, sometimes for over a day at a time and without notice. This is despite the $40 water fee that was thrust on me midway through the lease and without prior notification.

The property is not safe, despite having a supposed security guard. Drunks walk around all throughout the night screaming at the top of their lungs and harassing girls who walk by. Fist fights in the common areas are a regular occurrence and the cops are here arresting people quite a bit. Car thefts and car break-ins happen on an almost weekly basis. On St. Patrick's Day last year, someone tried to break into my apartment while I was in it.

People party here non-stop and the walls are paper thin. This isn't just a weekend thing -- seriously, people party 24/7 here. People throw beer cans into my patio and once managed to break my neighbor's window with a beer bottle. I've had someone pee on my front door. There are large roaming parties of complete drunk -------s who try to start fights and catcall girls. Some of the people who live here are the most obnoxious people Ive ever been around.

Finally, the management is rude and condescending. They refuse to fix things. For example, the first year I was here my electricity would constantly surge and also flicker off for a moment. This actually fried my computer. I called the office on many occasions and they told me that nothing was wrong! When the sent a guy out, he checked the breaker box, witnessed a surge and told me to call APS. A very helpful APS guy came out, looked at everything and told me exactly what was wrong and how to fix it -- but he did not fix it because it was not APS's problem. When I recalled management, they still insisted that it was not their problem and/or that nothing was wrong. It took another month after APS was here to finally get it fixed.

They also do regular apartment inspections, which are mandatory. Although they give 48 hour notice, they give four day time frames as to when they'll actually be coming and give no mention of what time of day. They leave the front door open when they come and sometimes do not knock. I once woke up with them in my damn bedroom. Also, they demand that any pets be kenneled on the patio when they come -- sometimes in the summer. I honestly do not trust the staff with my belongings and I also don't think it is very humane to lock up my cat outside in 100 degree weather during the four day period that they might come.

Don't live here. The management is totally inept.
