Good place to live. Not the greatest but not many complaints

I have lived here for a few months now and actually LOVE it. Yes, it is not perfect, but then again, there are not too many things wrong either.
The staff is very courteous, helpful etc. The maintenance staff is very knowledgeable and prompt in attending to most of the complaints.
The grounds are green and good to look at both from the front and inside the complex. There is even a working fountain in the center of the complex. Lots of trees and shade. Swimming pool is well lit and usable with a jacuzzi. The washer/dryer room is provided for the residents in addition to the hookups in the apartments.
Adequate space in the apartments. There is even a skylight in some of the units (saves on elec bill). Carpeting is average and kind of old. Shelf units are ok, nothing great. Appliances provided generally work ok. Nothing fancy. No microwave in unit. The cable for cable tv is pretty old. According to the technician, it was probably put in place when the complex was contructed (70s or 80s). So there is a lot of noise on the cable and the cable company had to use some extra equipment to fix it. Some days when it rains, the cabling gets flooded and signal interrupted for a few mins to few hours. AND cable hookup provided only to the living room. No phone or cable jacks in bedrooms.
Apartments may need to be refurbished at least from the outside. Look old and some of the patios DEFINITELY need some work. For the most part, the patios are usable with extra storage room. The walls are adequately thick and soundproofed (not so with the windows). There have been only a couple of noisy parties in the past few months. But definitely no college dorm-type parties.
Parking spaces are adequate. Lots of covered spots(reserved for residents) and open spots also. No pest problems that I know of. No mold also.

The employee not being able to help you move a large object or shipment is a pretty standard policy.. When employees do anything in the place they work (even on thier "own time") the company is liable.. so this is understandable.. My experience is they have always helped in every way they are able to..
