Close to campus... and surprisingly livable!

As a student seeking to live near campus- but somewhere quiet- I definitely lucked out with my apartment. For all that it's an easy 10-minute walk to most points on the ASU campus, it's also a surprising pocket of quiet. The current manager (Deborah Johnson) is very helpful and capable; the buildings are older than some, but since she came in 1.5 years ago, a number of improvements to the complex have been added, including a grill area, fenced-off area for walking pets, and improvements to the common areas (like pool and laundry room); any maintenance requests I've put in, even for replacement parts, have been filled without any trouble in a few days at most, many in the same day. There are some noise issues with the complex next door (I have an apartment on the outer part of the complex facing them), but none in Riviera Palms- I don't even hear the neighbors above me- and both the manager and maintenance person are very easy to get along with. You will certainly get a larger apartment for similar price a bit further from campus if you look, but the complex is in a good location and well managed, and I've enjoyed living here.
