Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
I lived at Riviera Village for a year and I really liked it. Rent is really low and the grounds are always well-kept. Also, there were no cockroaches or critters like I've dealt with in other Tempe apartments so that's a huge deal for me. Ha.
There are a couple of down sides. Like it's right next to the train so you hear that a couple times each night, and it's on a one-way street so that can me sort of annoying... My car did get broken in to when I had to park over by the dumpster where it wasn't as well lit as my normal parking spot. That probably should have been a bigger deal than the critters, but I would still consider moving back here.
The people in the office and the maintenance staff were always really nice. And not like, "Hi, How are you' Can we have your rent now'" They're actually pretty personable and I don't know if Latoya is still there but she was pretty funny. They have a pet of the month which they get really excited about, the pool and the fitness center are nice, and there's a little playground. I think we only had to request maintenance one time because the hinge on my roommate's door was messed up but it was taken care of the next day.
