I have lived at Riviera Village since February of 2005. That was the time the new Management Company took over the property. When I moved here, there was no pavement in the parking lot, there were holes everywhere, we did not have a fitness center, the pool was not kept clean and we did not have a business center for the residents. The new Management took over and created a new community. We now have a parking lot that looks neat and clean, we have a top of the line 24 hour fitness center, the pool is always clean, we have a playground for our kids and a new business center where we can use the computer at our leisure. Yes, the leasing staff is very friendly and the maintenance staff has always gotten my work orders done in a timely manner. It is a pet friendly community and you will see a gray and white cat named Charlie watching over you. Everybody loves Charlie. When I moved in, my carpet was not brand new but it was in good condition which met my standards. This is not a brand new community and yes the cabintry in the kitchen area can have it ups and downs. By that I mean is this, sometimes the cabinet door will not completely close with minor knicks and my countertops were resurfaced which looked very nice to me. The one bedrooms are 625 square feet and the two bedrooms are 725 square feet. If you are looking for a larger living space, yes these apartments are too small for you. I like my one bedroom. It is real cozy and neatly put together for me. There is a train that goes by at the very north part of the property. The leasing staff does tell you it is there when you are first looking. I really did not have a problem with the train. Now I do not even hear it or it is just part of my life now. I have continued my stay here because it is close to my job, there is public transportation just one half block away, now the new light rail is close by, it is close to a lot of shopping and restaurants. I have made this cute little aparment my home.

How Is it that you know so much about this property even down to the square footage of both one AND two bedroom apartment... Its pretty bad when management has to put in there two cents just to try and make there property sound good!!!!!!! I AM an actual resident, I must admit that most of the management and maintenance staff are very polite and profesional, However there are some members of the staff that I beleive are VERY Uneducated,Rude, Disrespecful And Ignorant.... For starters the manager (Stephanie), But That would take days to type that awful review.. Lets just say that your better of taking your issues or request in to the office when she is no where to be found.... Then you have the black maintenance guy that walks around talking to himself and screaming at no one and everyone, Wat a worthless piece of work. Hes never been able to take care of any of my maintenace request, they have always sent the new girl to fix the problems hes made worse..... (GO GIRL)!!!
This place would be so much better if we didnt have to deal with them two retards...

Just so you know, I do not work at Riviera Village. I have a full time customer service job with a fine company here in Tempe. My husband and I have lived at Riviera Village for a long time and we do not feel like we have to defend ourselves for liking the community. We have lived in both the one bedroom and the two bedroom, that is why I know the size difference. Don't you know the square feet of your apartment? It is unfortunate that you are not happy where you live. We are and we wanted other people to know that we have seen good changes since the new staff took over.
