I'm on the fence about my experience at San Palmilla. There are several problems, such as crime (my car got broken into and I've heard of several other break-ins), noise (do not pay more to live by the pool or volleyball court; there are many inconsiderate tennants here that blast music), and the gates are frequently out of service. The management have always been friendly (but impersonal) and the maintenance has always been quick to respond (I suggest using the internet site to report problems - usually 24 hr response.) The fitness center is small but enough. I have enjoyed living here, though, and would recommend it for college students, but probably not to families. It is decent temporary living.
