I've lived at San Palmilla for almost two years and I'm on the fence whether or not I would recommend it. My experience here has mostly been positive, but there are several negative things that stick out in my mind.

First, the gates are constantly broken which raises concerns about security. My car was broken into in the parking lot.

Second, San Palmilla seems to have high office-staff turnover, and staff are not knowledgeable. Several times, I've asked the same question to two different staff members and received completely different responses. Also, when we renewed our lease last year, the staff raised our rent instead of offering us a deal.

We've also had a problem with noise, not so much from other apartments, but from people outside in the parking lot.

My roommates and I were lucky and never had any maintainence problems. Our apartment was clean when we moved in and we are satified with the overall condition of the apartment.

Overall, I would recommend finding something better for the money and in a better location. The ghetto seems to be creeping up on San Palmilla.
