So. We moved cross-country to this place. At first the office folks seemed nice and helpful enough. But then they turned into complete imcompetent, careless, holier-than-thou jerks incapable of simple tasks like changing our phone numbers (took three tries and a maintenance EMERGENCY for them to finally update our info). The maintenance crew kicks some serious butt though. They are quick, considerate, and generally quite capable of all our basic maintenance needs.
Management is our biggest gripe here. Office folks aside, they don't give adequate notice of the work being done on grounds.... they gave NO notice of installing fences around our patios, little and WRONG notice of installing new windows, little and NO notice of outside painting and parking improvements. They seem to care little about the actual residents, and the extreme late penalties make me believe they are trying to push the hispanic families OUT (of which there are MANY since this place used to be CHEAP, but now rent has gone up 20% with little to show for it).
The paint inside it 20 layers deep, and pulls away from the walls if you attach ANYTHING to it, the carpet came with stains, the cabinets are old and don't even work. The dishwasher barely works, and the plumbing is the worst I've ever lived with multiple incidences of water leaking down from above, and out of the walls.
Oh, and the office isn't even in this complex, we have to go across the street to Foxtree (run by the same company) for any issues, to pay rent, and to retrieve packages. And did I mention that they recently MOVED the office without any notice, and their "temporary" headquaters are extremely unorganized, they couldn't even locate the spare keys for the apartments!
All in all its not bad for a CHEAP place, but CHEAP is just what you get, and its not even that cheap anymore. If you pay your rent on time and never complain you may be able to tolerate living here. But most would be very annoyed with this company from day 1.

LOL is all I can say. What you said was so true. about the office staff. I disagree with the maintance workers though I believe they are all from the same pod. I moved could not take it anymore and being blamed for office personal not keeping up with thier paper work was just too much for me. Good luck and be safe I stayed on the same side as you did (shadetree) and fights, stealing and car theft was in full bloom when I left 03/2006.
