What are these people talking about'
Most of the people that 'volunteered" their reviews on here are not being very fair at all.

I currently live at Scottsdale Gateway and have for the past 2 years.

The staff is very friendly and helpful because I am friendly with them (the flys with honey thing). I have witnessed the abuse they have to put up with from other residents with rediculous complaints and unrealistic expectations and they continue to smile and do their jobs effectively.

These apartments were built in the early 70's and I am realistic about any problems that may arise. The service guys always fix anything that might break down.

The outside of the apartments were recently upgraded with new windows and paint scheme and the parking lot was re-surfaced as well as new sidewalks. I have learned that they will be upgrading the interiors soon.

I love living here and truly feel like this is home. It is a safe property, clean and in an excellent part of Tempe.

It is obvious that the majority of the previous reviews are residents getting their revenge by writing a review filled with half-truths and exagerations.

People should realize that if you are nice you get five star service but if you are rude then expect less than adequate service.
I learned this long ago.

i also live here. And i have had nothing but a wonderful experience here> I have not only met great neighbors but great staff members. Why do people always like writing negative stuff all the time? I ran into this web site when i referred my friend to live here and she told me about this website. Of course she is now living here too thanks to my honesty and she loves it too.

"getting their revenge by writing a review filled with half-truths and exagerations."

-I am the one who got carbon monoxide poisoning after THREE requests for them to fix the leaking pilot lights. This was NOT a small deal & when I NICELY brought it to the attention of the manager, she asked me "What's carbon monoxide?" and then ARGUED with me after the city came out & told me there was in fact fatal levels of carbon monoxide in my kitchen that was spreading throughout the apartment; the levels in my bedroom when I woke up were dangerous, but not fatal -- had I not woken up on time, I likely would have suffered greater.

I realize mistakes happen. I didn't die, so I kindly requested a new stove. Because the old one was obviously unsafe, after 3 requests to fix it. After the manager argued with me about "the old fixed stove is just as safe as a new stove" - I requested she sign a letter I typed guaranteeing this truth. Surprise, she didn't sign it. I got a new stove, but I'm not going to say they were exactly "nice" about it.

I always paid my rent on time -- I was NEVER late. I always made good conversation with them when I went in. "the flys with honey thing" only goes so far if those you're being nice to aren't returning the sentiment.

I'm glad your experience there was good. Mine was NOT. Do not go acting like everyone else is wrong; your experience may be golden. I'm just happy I got out with my health.

the people in the office were always very nice to me.. but they still didn't do their jobs as well as they could have. I mean they didn't know what i was talking about when i was threatened by my neighbor, and they tooka report on it but never got back to me on what to do if it happened again. Luckily i had to move out of state for a family emergency, but they were very unsympathetic towards my situation. I came in with my 30 day notice of move out, and they wouldn't accept it until i had atleast "tried" to find someone to sub lease the apartment on craigslist.com... i couldn't change my move out date because they wanted me to ret and sub lease first and i didn't have time for that, and now i'm paying the consequences i still owe about 1800 to their collection company for not giving a friggin notice... how is that fair?
