I moved into this place in August of 05' as a naive college sophomore. I am alot wiser now about what to pick for a good apartment. The place seemed fine at first but after a month or so I started to hear music coming from the apartment behind me. It took me 9 months of complaining and calling the cops for them to finally be evicted for the noise problem. I almost did not renew my lease but had no other choice at the time. I have now been here for 2 years and am looking for a new place. There are so many cons...
The pigions roost on the air conditioning vents and maintanence does not clean them off unless someone complains enough times. Its disguisting and hazardous to our health.
The fitness room is a joke. The last few months the air conditioners (yes there are 2) in there have been broken and blow nothing but hot air out, making it impossible to work out in such high heat. The machines are constantly broken because of kids going in there and screwing around.
The neighborhood is scarily unsafe. I feel like im going to get kidnapped when I am walking around down there.
Maintanance also takes FOREVER to fix anything. IN the beginning they did work orders the next day but we had a problem with our air conditioner vent and it took us 3 weeks of going down to the office and asking them to put a work order in for them to finally do it. My husband said he went down there numerous times and said that they never even entered it into the computer until he told them he wouldn't leave until he saw them do it. Don't depend on them at all.
IN the 2 years I have been here the management staff has changed numerous times. The staff always seems nice but it is always changing. The grounds for Sierra Vista II are a joke. They are trashy and cars are always getting broken into there.
I can't say that there are any pros other than electricity is included, but living in a 450 sq ft apartment I feel I am paying way too much.
If you can help it, don't live here. It is unsafe and scary and way overpriced.
