Solid place to live

I lived at Sierra Vista I from 2004-2008 and really can't complain about much of my experience. The staff was always helpful the few times I needed to interact with them and maintenence always did an adequate job fixing things that needed to be fixed. I had my share of noisy neighbors in the 4 years I lived there, but when you live right near ASU that has to be expected. You really can't blame management because some knucklehead co-eds got way too drunk one night and shattered their own window. If you're going to rent there know going in it might get loud and crazy Thursday-Saturday during the school year.
The grounds were not kept very well while I was there, often times pigeon feces was left all over the walkways, it was pretty disgusting. It really shouldn't take much to hose down the walkways to keep them looking nice.
Aside from a drunk occassionally forgetting which apartment he/she lived in and knocking on my door and some bass shaking my apartment from time to time the only other complaint I had were the annual check ins by the apartment staff. I really felt like I was living in a dorm the way they would send 24-48 hour notice and key into your apartment like an RA would. I grew up living in apartments and never experienced anything like that before.
The only reason I moved out was because of rent increases, the apartment went from being a bargain to being overpriced and I've since moved into a larger place with nicer grounds for a comparable rent.
It was fine for my first apartment on my own, but unless they have decreased rent you can probably find better bargains in the area.
