Not that great

I've been here two years and am anxious to get the hell out. The problem isn't with the apartment or the management, it is with the neighborhood and the tenants. Here is what I've encountered:

- My girlfriend's car was burglarized the third night were were here. My truck was burglarized two days later... IN BROAD DAYLIGHT 20 MINUTES AFTER I GOT HOME!!!!
- An attempt was made to steal my bike that was locked to the railing.
- Yelling and screaming domestic disputes at all hours of the day and night every day.
- Constant partying throughout the complex every night of the week at all hours of the night.
- A woman was attacked and nearly raped on the stairs leading to my apartment one night. The attacker ran away when my neighbors and I came out in response to the screaming.
- Kids running rampant stomping up and down the stairs that lead to my apartment (they don't live in either of the apartments the stairs go to).
- All kinds of creepy people roaming around.
- Apparently is the preferred place to abandon vehicles and dump stolen cars.
- AC/Heat is on central boiler so you can't make the decision to switch from AC to heat when the temperature drops at night in the fall. You have to wait until the switch the whole system over.
- Hot water mains constantly breaking so there was no hot water.

There was good stuff about the place though.
- The rent was cheap and included most of the utilities.
- The apartment itself was in good condition.
- Maintenance was usually quick to fix problems (provided the office got the work order to them). They also did good job trying to pick up trash every morning.
- Lots of parking spaces on my end of the complex. The rest of the place seemed crowded.

If you like to party or don't mind your neighbors partying, then, live here. It's cheap and close to a lot of stuff. If you're like me and like "quiet time, you need to find something that isn't in Tempe.
