I am Crystal Winters, My husband is a soldier in the army and he is gone a lot, we moved here from up north to be close to his unit. We currently live at Sierra Vista 2, and it is horrible to say the least. Shortly after we moved in our neighbors daughter committed suicide, rapes occur every week, drunken idiots are outside our kidās window our appt and our neighbors were being attempted to be broke into at the same night. No hot water for over 4 days, no ac in the summer it was 84 degrees in my living room with 5 fans going, now it is winter and we are freezing 63 degrees in mid day it is warmer outside, my kids are getting sick from being cold and we cant turn off the ac..... staff is rude and un-professional, our appt flooded since there was no shut off valve for water to the toilet it was broke and when water started rising I called maintenance it took them 45 minutes to get to my appt, (my neighbor had to come over with wrench to shut off our water since the valve was broken off) then maintenance left me there with a flooded appt... After several calls it was a few hours later that they had to call another company to get the water out. my husband was deployed to the border at this time, I was charged 250 dollars which became rent due then they told me if I didnāt sign a promise to pay they would refuse to accept our rent and evict us immediately, regardless of my husband being deployed to the border. I signed it because I didnāt want to lose my house while my husband was away and I was unable to contact him about it. When my husband came home he tried to fight it, the water shut off valve that all my neighbors except us have is mandatory and had I been able to turn it off my appt would not have flooded. The friendly office told my husband I must have flushed my toilet for 45 minutes straight to have flooded the appt... get real office staff I was on the phone the most of the time trying to get you guys here to fix the problem, then they told my husband there was another man who was not my husband in my appt... duh! The neighbor had to turn the water off for me. In the end it took over two months to fix the water shut off valve. We had to call Tempe code inspectors other wise it would not have got fixed. eventually after fighting this bill that our jag lawyer continued to inform us was not our responsibility to pay our rent was eventually refused and we were charges an additional 100 dollars for it being sent to collections (the day following rent was due) after 1220 dollars later when we paid these fees so we could continue to live in this place so we donāt have an eviction on our record. these people are crooks...... our kids and us kept getting bit by ticks that are living in the carpet, the people that lived here before us had a dog and the carpet was never changed, we had welts all over our bodies from the bites that later turned into scars. We had to get our appt sprayed every week and since it was harmful to the "crawlers" as the tech referred to our 1 yr old we had to leave for an hour each time... now our bathroom had a leak in the ceiling from upstairs. needless to say it started to cave in with mold pouring out it smells so nasty and discussing after 2-3 days maintenance came and cut it out (that maintenance guy was really nice)however, he left a huge mess and left the nasty moldy piece of ceiling that he had cut out in my bathtub. I still have it and I took several pictures for my records as well now there is a big huge hole in my ceiling and the board they used to try and cover it up is falling down it is unsafe and dangerous. the office didnāt want him to finish the job that day (words directly out of his mouth) they told him not to do it since the people upstairs wanted to take a shower that day, well its been 8 days and still no word talked to the office the other day and they insist they never knew there was a problem, said they would fix it today and they never showed up... the office is horrible to deal with all they talk about is fair housing well is it fair housing all my neighbors have shut off valves and I had to pay over 250 in expenses since I did not have one, is it fair housing that all my neighbors have ceilings in their bathroom except me... no its not we are very neat and clean and take pride in our appt now we are stuck with this crap. My husband called several news stations after reading these reviews.... how can a person live in these conditions...? if you want to live in poverty and pay almost 1000 a month to this appt complex who only cares about their landscape instead of their tenants and how much parties and raffles they can throw with all the extra charges they throw at you any time they want, so you can be bitten by nasty bugs and watch every drug deal in town go on outside your window and have skuzzy drunks outside your kids bedroom window while everyone is partying until 3am or kids destroying your vehicles while their parents watch them do it, dogs who crap all over the property and no one picks it up then this is the place for you... And funny how the management never responds to these reviews....

I too had that happen. Did you know that in the apartments that advertise washer/dryer hookups have NO way of of venting the dryer to the outside? It took us nearly 4 months for them to get going...and it took my husband walking into the office in his TSA uniform (the three-letter mentality for those who have something to lose) and told them to get it done or there will be legal action. Within a week of threatening legal acton, we had a dryer vent right out the roof of the kitchen. Their excuse "we thought there was an apartment above the kitchen...in a three bedroom. Anyone with half a brain should have known better by looking at the floorplans.
