Make sure your car is washed....

It's quite the miracle i didn't end up having my son today! My fiance and I woke up this morning and pretty much started off our daily routine. He gets ready for work and I kiss him goodbye, and wave to him outside the window while he drives off. My car was fine; it's one of the first things I check for. About 2 hours later, i look outside and my car is gone'! I cannot tell you the horror i went through. I called my fiance screaming and he rushed right home. We called a dispatcher and to our amazment (yet thank goodness) they had towed my car' The dispatcher gave us the address and number of where to go pick up my vehicle. While looking outside I saw the "out of city" towing company truck driver and my fiance went outside and confronted the man asking as to why my vehicle was towed. Imagine my surprise when he came up and informed me that the front office had called the towing company to come and tow my car away. My fiance quickly called the front office and demanded to know why. Do you care to know what the first thing the girl told him was' "Because it was dirty. We had complaints & thought it was abandoned."

Okay, not that it's anyone's business, but I am 9 months pregnant due any day now and have been on bed rest since Jan. I had to stop working and doing everything all together. Only thing I'm really allowed to do is go to my Dr. Appts. so driving my car & WASHING IT is NOT an option. My fiance has been my chauffer for the past 3 to 4 months. Instead of calling my fiance and I and informing us, they decide that posting an orange sticky on the back window is the better way to go. We saw this AFTER my car had been towed & picked up in Phx. Wouldn't it have been easier and much MORE curteous for us if they would have called' I guess not, they're way of "communication" is apparently posting stickies on windows. I guess they could really care less however. We had to drive to Phoenix to get my car and pay $80 to get it out which I don't think we should be responsible for. I can't drive and that's that. If I worked in the front office I personally wouldn't want to have on my shouders the guilt of knowing I sent a 9 month pregnant lady to phoenix to go get her car. They're very lucky I didn't go into labor or get a contraction while driving back home. The stress was horrible. The front staff could have been a little more professional in investigating if my car had in fact been abandoned. Which it was not. I suggest they put themselves in my position and see how they like it. It's all nice and sweet when your looking for a place to live, but once your a tenant it's *screw you.* Front office staff is really only my main concern, however everything else I am happy with. Maitnence, has always been top quality when something was wrong in the apartment. It may have taken a couple of hours for them to get here, but I only imagine it's because they have lots to do and that's something beyond their control. I applaud the maitnence workers and pray that somwhow they take over the front office. I'm quite sure they could do a much better job than the *women* that are employed there at this moment.
