Somerset Village

I've lived here for over a year now, and am getting ready to move out within the next month. My stay here hasn't been bad, but it also hasn't been the greatest experience; I am very ready to leave Somerset Village.
The apartments themselves are okay. The summer of '08 each unit was remodeled: all new appliances, countertops, sinks, etc. The carpets are pretty shoddy though, as is the tub. Mold grows very easily and is hard to remove. The tub is probably my biggest complaint againt the unit itself.
Another thing that has consistently bothered me is the actual smell of my apartment. It smells old and musty, no matter how often I burn candles or Febreze the place up. I'm guessing the old tenant smoked in the place, but the wave of musk and old carpeting that greets me everytime I work through my front door is unwelcoming indeed.
Another issue is the grounds of the apartment. They are overall decent, but there have been instances were the pipes have been severely backed up, resulting in spewed sewage water and toilet paper across the grass of the grounds; I had toilet paper all across the grass right outside my bedroom window. Actually, the 2 week old mess is still there. Basically, the place doesn't respond to things like that quickly, which in this case, angers me because this is absolutely disgusting.
I know I sound negative with the complaints, but overall, Somerset is a decent place to live. Ample parking, pretty safe, and I've never had problems with theft or break-ins or anything shady in general. It's an okay place to live, and good for the price. Walls are super insulated so I don't really have problems with the noise.
Definitely glad to move on though. Tata Somerset!
