You can do better than here...

I thought living at Sonoran Ridge was going to be a nice experience. The brick walls seemed like a bonus, and so did the location and the lack of upstairs neighbors. However, many things have come to disappoint me about this complex. First, the NOISE LEVEL. The windows in this place are so thin that you can hear everything that goes on outside; in my case, since I live in a unit along a main road, I can hear cars, construction noises, drunk yelling, music at the bar across the street, and the buzzing of a light fixture...usually all night long. It's gotten to the point that I wear target shooting earphones to block the noise as I sleep each night. These thin windows also let a lot of cold air into the place during the winter.
Beyond the thin windows, there are also huge problems with thin walls. Now, you wouldn't think that it would be possible to hear much through a brick wall...well, I can hear pretty much EVERYTHING my next-door neighbors do all the time--everything from have sex to hang pictures on the wall to BEAT THEIR KIDS.
I must also say something about the fact that these apartments seem to have been built by a schizophrenic. The kitchen is too small, the downstairs bathroom is excessively large (space that could be used for the kitchen), the master bedroom door is hopelessly narrow, and the upstairs bathroom cabinet barely fits anything. Also, the pipes make a lot of noise when hot water is used, and the floorboards creak and screech like an old lady.
The only thing I can say is good about this place is the management. If there's a problem they can fix (e.g. noisy neighbor, broken garbage disposal, etc), they are there in a heartbeat. And Linda (one of the managers) is the sweetest lady you'll ever meet!
Other than the fact that the management is responsive, this place is not recommended, and definitely not worth the money you'll pay to live here.

I am Linda(the manager)and had not heard of this resident's complaint until now. I do wish this person would have contacted the leasing office with their concerns and we could have possibly transferred them to another site on the property away from what was annoying them. And, as far as the windows go, one can hang insulated drapes over their blinds during summer or winter to keep the elements out. I do appreciate the compliment writer, however, I could have addressed your issues had I been made aware. Good luck with your new place!
