Nice, but VERY LOUD

I moved to the phoenix area from the east coast and found this place using an online search. At first I was very happy...convienent to downtown Tempe, easy freeway access (despite construction around) and centrally located to anywhere in the valley. It only took a few months before I was shopping other apts in the area. The place is not built well for sound as apartments open into each other in a 4-story tall canyon that echos sound all over. If anyone makes any noise outside, it sounds like they are right outside your window. And given the proximity to ASU and downtown Tempe, there are always a lot of very loud, drunk people at night. Given that the rent is pretty high (over 1K/mo for a 1 bedroom) and the noise is out of control, I think you could do better with a lot of other places
