Please take this review to heart. I had heard about the village and what a scam it was but I refused to listen to anyone. I was so impressed with how nice everything appeared and all the perquisites to living there. Unfortunatly, the village is a horrible place. Once the lease is signed, the office's attitude towards you changes completly. They are rude and really don't care about a thing. The apartments are unsafe even though they are "gated" because homeless people and local teens looking to start trouble just hop the fence from the park behind the apartments. I know this because my window looks out over the fence and I watch dozens of people climb over. Within the first 3 days my bike lock was cut and my bike stolen. When I reported it to security his response was (verbatim) "haha, that happens all the time". I have gone around to many other people's apartments and have yet to find one that wasn't in the same state as mine: severly stained carpet, broken appliances, disgusting matresses. While the parking is good and the other tenants are all great, these apartments are not safe and are DEFINENTLY not what the front desk leads you to believe.
Watch out for:
-The front desk claiming a "change" in management...I'm told that they say this every year to appease people's concerns over the mishandling of everything
-If you want high speed internet, have fun wiring the whole apartment yourself, the ethernet jacks in the apartments do not work, despite what your told.
-There WAS a shooting here a few years ago and this complex is NOT safe.
-Look forward to standing in the front office for a half hour if you want anything done.
-Don't get a 2 bedroom deluxe, the normal ones are almost nicer
