I just moved in here during August. It's my firts apartment as well. I can say it is better than the dorms. My friend said that she had Stuff all broken in her room and her apartment was all infested and messedup and that nothing worked right. Well, girls lived in my apartment before us so everything was cool. During the first couple of weeks when we needed something fixed it would take a week or two for maintenance to get in here and fix it, but i can understand because it is busy. Now I can turn in a maintenance report and they usually come in on the same day. I admit, i could probably kick the guards asses. The police show up pretty quick though. I did hear about a girl getting raped by four black guys then a guy got in a fight with 4 black guys outside my apartment the next week...basically, if you see four black guys...run. My apartment is pretty cool and when it gets loud, the cops don't have a problem showing up. Mostly, I chill at the house...if you go out and get wasted you probably will get raped. Most of the sluts here like to get pounded a few times a week anyway. I haven't seen much vandalism. It IS the city so you should always lock the door, specially if your roommates are pussies and will get their asses kicked by burglars. I say it is a regular place, just ask for a nice apartment that girls live in before and you should be ok. It actually reminds me kinda of a motel. The bed is hard and the sheets i bought were cheap, the way the bathroom area is set up...definately a motel.
