Best for Short Term College Students

I moved into my apartment in 115 degree heat during the month of June. We had specifically requested an apartment that faced north or south since the sun can be very intense during the summer. Our electricity bills have proved this fact. Since I had a cat, they put me into an apartment that also had a previous cat owner. The apartment reeked of cat urine. I think the master bedroom was used as a litter box. The smell is STILL there, but much more faint. The kitchens in La Contenta have very very little shelf space. No room for your food so it all piles on top of your refrigerator. The atmosphere is family oriented, no a party apartment complex. Don't live here without a car alarm, but that is applicable to all apartments in Phoenix. The front office personnel are a little airheadish...but nice. The newest property manager is much more gung-ho about improving the property. Of the three pools, two are acceptable and one is just plain disgusting. I would recommend but only for the short term, you realize how close to Guadalupe you are when you see bums in the dumpsters next to your parking spot. Gated community is a plus.
