Do not live if you desire a safe place to live. I have lived here since the beginning of the year and the last couple weeks have been crazy. A man was shot and killed here two weeks ago. Tempe police was all over the complex and a helicopter was flying overhead looking for the two suspects. Tonight as I write this review cops are here again searching for suspects, but I doubt the staff will ever address this problem. Needless to say, I will not be renewing my lease when it is up in a couple months. It is definitely worth paying more for a safer place.
On top of all the crime I reported a broken appliance in my apartment over 3 months ago, the staff was here right away to look at it, but they still havent come back to fix it.
Avoid this place

I agree with you about the maintenance being extremely slow to respond to any requests. The crew themselves always do a good job when they come and ultimately the job of getting to us promptly falls on the maintenance managers shoulders who does a terrible job, he is the worse manager I have dealt with in the 7 yrs I have lived here. The office staff is wonderful and go above and beyond to assist with any problems I may have.

I truly understand your concerns. My name is Carol Murray, I am the District Manager for Villagio. I must clarify that the incident that occurred last week, did not occur at Villagio, but at a nearby community. Unfortunately, crime can happen any where at any time. We as community managers can offer the services of an after hours patrol service to act as our eyes and ears in the event of an incident, as well as ask them to help us to maintain a quiet commnuity, however to expect any apartment community to prevent crime is unrealistic. We carefully screen each resident using the same criteria, in addition to participating in the City of Tempe Crime Free Program which provides us immediate information each time the police are called to the community. We then address each situation appropriately in accordance with the law.
Thank both of you for also commenting on your maintenance issues. Our goal is to provide exceptional customer service and clearly we have not met your expectations. I hope both of you will give us the opportunity to turn your opinion around. I am assigning our Leasing Manager, America, 480-831-2012; to see to it that your repairs requests are taken care of completely and quickly. If you both provide her with your name, apartment number, and items needing attention, I guarantee she will see it through to your satisfaction. If not, I encourage you both to contact me directly at 602-279-5515.
It is our desire to make every resident a "raving fan" and your feedback is critical. So, thanks again for your candor and I hope you will give us the chance to change your mind.

I agree with all of the above ! This place is a hell hole. I saw the shotting happen I had to leave my apartment for over a week due to sheer fear. My neighbors are loud and disrespectful. The leasing office staff may be nice but they have never done anything to correct these issues. I had my smoke detector out for month until I finally fixed it myself. don't move here!
