I lived in University Pointe, which is part of University properties. It is true that the apartments are furnished, but the buildings themselves are pretty old and not maintained well. In my apartment, a pipe burst; there was water everywhere and the management did nothing for four days. The apartment was never repaired satisfactorily, but then they wanted to fix things when I was moving out (they don't care about you once you've signed a lease).
The staff will smile and say yes to whatever you say but then they will generally ignore your requests.
Cars are routinely damaged in the parking lot and there are always people wandering around, as well as a lot of trash. However, the security guard prefers to harass residents who come home late rather than do his job. Additionally, you can hear everything that happens in neighboring apartments, so if there are noisy people around you, you're in trouble.
The one bright spot was one of the maintenance people who was nice and very helpful, but he can't do much working under that management.
They must have a peculiar screening process at this place, because I came to find out that some of my neighbors were white supremacists, junkies, and people who apparently liked to re-enact scenes from porno movies with their blinds and windows open (Yeah, charming).
Some people may have had better luck living here, but really, if you come to University Properties, you will be taking a very big risk.
