This was the WORST apartment living experience I have ever had! From the first day, it was a mess. They told me the apartment would be ready on my move-in day, but when I arrived with all my stuff, I found that the apartment was all torn up, no carpeting, and there was a HUGE hole in the cement floor. I had to wait about another week for the apt to be ready for move-in. Throughout that aweful year, I had to deal with constant roach infestations, coming up from the sinks, dishwasher, cabinets, and bathroom. I had pest control come about every other week, but the problem persisted. The shower always leaked water all over the bathroom floor, and no matter how many times it was patched, the underlying problem was never fixed. The worst part (yes, probably worse than the roaches) was the water leaking. There was a persisten dripping from the ceiling in the kitchen, and occasionally it would be fixed, but that would only last for a month or so. To top it off, one day the upstairs neighbor's toilet overflowed and completely FLOODED our bathroom - disgusting! Oh yeah, there was another day when I was at home and heard a huge crash through one of the bedroom windows. As it turns out, the deadbeats upstairs had run out on their rent and maintenance was clearing out their apartment by throwing the furniture out the 2nd story window. A desk bounced off a tree and shattered the bedroom window, leaving glass all over the carpet. It took them 3 WEEKS to replace the window!!! The management was very nonchalant about all these problems and hardly seemed to care. The only good thing was that the maintenance guy was very friendly, and he was as prompt with maintenance requests as he could be. (I don't blame the window on him, I just know that management took their sweet time in ordering a window). Oh, and the air conditioning was always cold in my apt. I have lived in apartments before, and being a student, I think I'm very reasonable and understand that I have to live cheaply as a "starving student," but this was absolutely unacceptable! I hated this place, and would never ever recommend it to anyone!!!
