Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2005
This place is newer but built in an old town. I have lived here since february 2005 and my lease will be up in feb. 28th 2006. I plan on moving to a more central part of town. There is nothing out here on this side of town for work or for fun. I have to travel to avondale or scottsdale to do anything.
When i moved in to the apartment on friday i moved from surprise out to tolleson with all my stuff being a single mother it was hard to find help. I got everything moved to the new location and found roaches ALL OVER baby ones and medium sized ones which means they are breeding and it was only going to ge worse. They were in the kitchen the laundry room the bathroom and some in the living room. I went out that night and had to buy bair bomb and traps to help my self sleep at night. The light fixture from the kitchen had been taken down and was not put back up upon arrival, the blinds leadin out to the patio looked as if the last person living here smoked cause there was a brownish film on them. The model they showed me was cleaner and had new carpet this place had old dingy brown carpet.
I went to the office the next day and told them how disappointed i was with the place and that somthing had to be done about the roaches cause i could not live this way. They then told me that they already bombed the place 3 times before i moved in and that they inspected it 2 times and they had not seen anything i told them to come with me and they said they would rather take my word for it. I originally wanted a bottom floor and fought for the one that i had gotten. I was disappointed when they told me that the only thing they could do it move me in to there model apt. which was up stairs and across the parking lot. I then had to find someone to help me move everything clear to the other die and up the stairs. Finally i got settled in and am happy to that i like the new place better being upstairs has turned out to be afer for a single mother. I also like the fact that i got the model apt becuase it had new everything and was clean. all and all it has turned out ok but started off really bad with the apartment.
The apartment staff was unsatisfactroy upon arrival. The whole process to move in took over a month and i had a dead line to move out on at my old roommate house. They are are income tax cerdited property which means they can charge you on a sliding scale based upon your income well i'm on government assistance and still ended up paying the higher rate for my apartment.
The parking lot is horrible, they have 2 gates but they shut the back exit gate down has been this way for the better half of the time i have been here. everyone is to enter and exit out the front gate which causes traffic problems and blind corners people should have an exit and an entrance that is how this place was set up but managment was sick of fixing the gate when the kids that are left unattened break it from riding on it when it opens and closes so they shut it down all together.
The people in the complex do not watch there children, all ages walk around unattended at all hours of the day and night. My aunt who lives with me has had her car keyed and gum stuck in her key hole. If you like mariachi music then you might like it here not only does the truck lot up the street bump the mexican style music at night for the town folk but so do half the tenants.
When you walk out side you can smell the agricultural land around you. There are a lot of commercail trucks and buildings in the area and farm land which you can smell at night and early mornings.
The front pool by the office is nicer than the back at least kept up better. The people in the back of the complex seem to be bad off i see cops back there a lot.
