Just moved in and Sorry I did

There must be a new management company, as the old reviews were good, but the new ones are bad. I just moved in and there was no water in the shower, the front door lock did not work, the smoke detector was not connected and fell off the wall, there is dog hair and dander everywhere, the dishwasher leaks water all over the floor, and someone parks a car with 2 year old expired plates in my "reserved space"
And this is only part of the list. I went to the office with over 20 repair items in the first two days. Yes, they are fixing many of these, but they should have been done BEFORE I moved in.
It is a lovely complex, but they are trying to save money on maintenance and people are moving out. So they are running move in specials, and letting almost anyone move in. This will drive even more people out. I have seen this before when I lived in an Equity owned apartment. (never move into an Equity owned apartment)
Unless they make some serious changes, I will not renew.
The location is good, the area beautiful, but they are making some bad choices for taking care of their property and their investment.
I have lived in a Mid America owned community and they were great. I lived in a Merryland Investment community which was wonderful until Equity bought it and it went from the best to the worst. And this one is not doing too well either. What a shame.
