Not worth the view! Especially with horrible management!

I have been living here for about a year and mostly things went smoothly. We had the same problems as mentioned by others. Thin walls, no up-keep on landscaping, and terrible parking. But I could live with that before this new "management". Now if you need something repaired you will get an answering machine even during regular office hours. I've been in the office when the phone was ringing. Everyone ignored it. The so-called manager is a lady named Jackie. She's sweet at first until it actually comes to taking care of her residents. She tried to say that my water had never been turned off (it had been turned off 3 times in a month). I was told by another office girl that I was exagerrating about the leak in my roof and that there had been "no other leaks in other apartments". Even though my friend in another building had just recently had his roof in his bedroom almost completely collapse due to severe water damage. All-in-all, stay away at all costs.

The problem is simple. Owners are cheap, hire the cheapest people that they can find for the office and maintenance. These are people who choose not to flip burgers. It has become a vicious cycle as people move out, vacancy goes up, so cash flow is worse, and owners do not want to spend money to do what needs to be done. The grounds are pretty, inspite of the horrible landscapers, and the location is good. HSL owns it, but they had MEB mis-manage it for several years, and now they are playing catch up on repairs, especially roof leaks. I think things are better now than they were 6 months ago. They are trying to make repairs, but it takes time. |

I have several things that need to be repaired, and they have been broken for months now. Things like water leaks and roof leaks. Call them and they say that it will be done right away. but they aren't. they now have a web page where you can send maintenance requests, but these messages go to a dead computer in Singapore, so it seems, because things still do not get fixed. And as the person above stated, because of this people will move out, and then they will try to save more money by doing less repairs, and it will only get worse. |
