The leasing people work on a commision basis and are pushed to SELL. Ask!
Intelligent, established professional people probably won't be happy here. People in this complex let their cats roam, in spite of the fact that there are coyotes around. (Other complexes do not allow cats to roam.)
Don't fall for the "we have to 'turn' the apartment, but we'll show you this other one..." routine. Don't fall for the "it's an 'easy turn' because the other person was 'military' and got transferred a month after moving in". (The place is left empty, dirty, and unmaintained for months until they receive $ from a new renter.) Or, "this is the only 2-bedroom that we have available". (There are lots of others. They just don't want to clean and fix them. You're lucky to get a choice of two, but they'll tell you they're almost full, so 'hurry up and make a decision because we have someone else who is interested.) Then there's the "we can't show it to you because it's being cleaned" (until you've paid us and have signed a contract) routine. And those special offers' You have to pay them back if you move out early/break your lease. The office people will tell you anything to get your $. Once you sign a lease, the truth comes out.
Before you give them $, sign a contract, or move in, make sure you SEE the exact apartment you will live in and inspect the fridge, micro, stove, disposal, windows, screens, doors, toilet, sinks, dishwasher, light fixtures, a/c, carpeting, flooring, etc. Appliances, fixtures, cabinets, and carpet are old ("bad seventies"). Leave no stone unturned. And make them change the locks. If anything is not 100% perfect and clean, DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY AND DO NOT MOVE IN! And don't fall for the "we'll fix it after you move in" routine. They won't. And once you've got your furniture moved in, it's hard to get out. Of course, if you protest about the apartment condition, a "better apartment" will suddenly become available, but you'll have to move all your stuff. Don't take the chance. There are much nicer places available at slightly higher prices. And you'll get a washer and dryer, too.

Yes it??s true the people in the office might work off commission, but that is not true you obviously did not ask the inelegant questions you are telling everyone to ask. So who is the dummy! And of course, you don??t move into a place with out checking out the apartment you are actually moving into. If that??s what you did then I only have one thing to say to you. U R STUPID!!! So don??t complain about the people in the office or the condition of the apartment because it??s all your fault. If that??s what happened to you then sorry buddy!

Anonymous, your reply was STUPID. It was insipid and made no sense. You must work for the apartment complex. What interest do you hold in this property?
