Walls are thin, I hear everything my neighbors do.

Any time my neighbors watch TV, talk, or close the cabinets and doors I can hear it.
I've never lived in an apartment complex with such thin walls.
I'm a student and I like to live in a peaceful place.
But this place is very noisy because the walls are so thin.
It drives me nuts.
I had to buy earplugs just to get a decent night sleep.
I moved here because it was rated highly on apartment ratings, but that was misleading.
I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.
Also we're across the street from a high school.
There are always a bunch of teenagers loitering, smoking cigarettes, in the parking lot in the morning.

You have too sensitive ears. You must be attracting trouble and smoking kids. You are luckie they didn't shoot you
as you must be a drug dealer the place is full of them.
I Know the management...troublemaker

You moved across the street from a highschool and didn't expect to encounter children? Don't be a dufus. If you could hear the neighbors, then they could hear your noisy rank too.

I agree with you completely I thought yeah there would be kids coming and going to school, but them and thier parents speed through the parking lot and the only reason the review was high when we moved in is because the mangmt comes on puts in false reviews we moved out as soon as our lease was up, the place is a joke! BIG TIME! Cars were broken into and apts as well not a safe place to live, the security was hardly ever around and when they were they were rude! If that is how MEB lets their properties be managed I will never live in one again, right now we rent through HSL and the property is quite, clean, and there aren't any rude people around. The pool is clean and well kept where I live now, compared to kids doing cannonballs into the hot tub because parents don't care or do parenting and people actually pick up after their animals here unlike Arcadia Park APTS.

I agree completely, I am a student at U of A too and I just moved here a couple months ago. I moved here because this was the highest rating apartment I found but I have never lived in such a place where the walls are so thin that me and friends can hear them talking in a normal level voice...its very annoying. I can't believe I signed a 12 month lease...and to the anonymous person who knows the management, it does not mean anything, the management may be very good but they did not build the apartment buildings

I agree. If you must move here, you better make damn sure you at least get an upstairs apartment. I'm in a downstairs one and can hear ever single footstep of the people above me. I can hear conversations of the people next to me, and on the other side I can hear a loud woman and her kids screaming at each other during the day. An occasional police siren or car alarm waking me up in the middle of the night I guess is to be expected from apartment living, but surely there are quieter and better sound-insulated apartments around here.
