The positive reviews for Ashton Ghettos sound suspiciously like management advertisements...
We lived at Ashton Ghettos for two years, and while it was okay in the beginning, it went downhill very quickly. And I am sorry, but it is going to take a whole lot more than a new paint job and some new tile to refurbish these apartments. How about trying a bulldozer, like the one they use in the landfill behind the complex.
And no, it is not "just a fact of life" that every apartment complex has a problem with crime. The complex we live in now has ZERO problems with criminals. The occassional noisy neighbor, sure. But that's because the walls are thin and everyone lives on top of each other. But we have never had any problems with drug dealers, prostitutes, wife beaters, or car thiefs like Ashton Ghettos does.
Oh, and what green grass are they referring to' The grass in the FRONT of the complex where everyone driving by can see it' Yes that grass was very green, but how about taking a trip through the complex...I don't remember any grass where we were. And no, the mildew growing around my sliding glass door does not constitute "green grass."
No, I would not recommend this place to friends. I don't care how close to Wal Mart it is.
