The worst From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 11/11/2006 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006   I lived there for two years. During this time I had multiple entries without permission, some of which included damaged property. They finally offered me rental concessions (free rent) to "make up" for it, and replaced some of my broken furniture. They also tracked in paint and tar from the new building projects and ruined the carpet and linoleum in the apartment, but didn't fix it. They just promised when I moved out that I would get my deposits back. The management is awful. They put in new gates that open back right under the stairs, which is genius. So if your coming down the stairs at night, or with something in your hands and aren't careful you'll run right into metal gates that open back from the downstairs porches. Complaining multiple times to keep ask management to ask the tenants to keep the gates shut doesn't help. Most of the tenants are section 8. It's noisy, they'll do "landscaping" at 6am on Saturday, which will wake you up. They lost my mail, twice. The response from the brilliant lady at the office was, "it wasn't important, was it'" It's infested with roaches. I moved in to an infestation, and complained and supposedly their exterminator up there every week on Friday. Didn't help. Finally, after nailing a couple roaches with my shoe, putting them in a ziplock bag, and tossing them on the manager's desk, they seemed to take care of the problem. She exclaimed, "I don't want these", to which I replied, "neither do I". Parking is awful. Most of the time, someone else will get your spot that you're paying extra for and they won't do anything about it. People park in no parking zones, and they won't do anything about it. People downstairs liked to barbeque right outside their front door. The smoke was awful, and even though it was against the lease and fire code, they wouldn't do anything about it. The mailboxes got condemned by the post office, because they were so rundown. They finally built new mailboxes, but took out the mail drop box, so you wuld have to go to a post office to mail anything. This place sucks. It used to be cheaper, so you sorta expect a little suckiness, but not them coming into your apartment without permission suckiness. Now rent has gone up and there's no reason to subject yourself to it.
