I had a studio here for many years. I could hear my neighbors about as well as if they occupied my same appartment. It is quite noisy. The place isn't very well built so the utilities are high. The cops did come to my building once to get a druggie but generally speaking the complex doesn't seem dangerous, just average. The back part -- which is where by far the greater number of apartments are -- seems somewhat noiser. When I lived there, at least, it seemed as if there were more children back there. The apartments are average on the inside, nice enough. I had no complaints about mine except for the high utilities and the noise because it wasn't built that well. At that time, the maintenance staff were fairly quick in their responsiveness. I moved because they were going to hike my rent by quite a bit in one lease term, not the average $5 or $10. A lot of people seemed to be moving at that time for the same reason. As apartments go, there doesn't seem to be anything to be all that worried about, but do be prepared for noise in the sense of being able to hear your neighbors a lot better than you might want to (although blaring music was rarely a problem). I wouldn't have any fears about living there again, though.
