I've been a resident here since 2002.
The place is rampant with lease violations, yet management picks and chooses who it will enforce them with. This includes making changes to the apartment; the maintenance man lives here and he paints his unit, changes the thermostat around for his needs, whatever he wants--if YOU were to try it, they WILL evict you.
If you're Section 8, you WILL eventually be evicted as "not good enough", through manipulative nitpicking (they will even photograph your apartment without your permission or presence, which is extremely illegal); they'll hide it as non-renewal of lease (which, by the way, has several errors in it--the disclosure clause lists a false address for the management company and some of the Arizona statutes they quote are non-existent)!
Weekends it's party central here; security just sits back and watches (and those are the good security guards--we had one that finally retired that would follow underage girls around and look in windows--complaints to management were useless).
During the summer, the pools are closed as often as they're open; the laundry facilities eat your money while leaving you with dirty, damp clothes; good luck finding parking and if you can get maintennance to show up three weeks after your first call, you're lucky.
In the meantime, don't ever leave anything you value out in your apartment--I had people coming in here unauthorized while I was at my father's funeral. When I complained about it, I was yelled at and there was no follow up; however, when I revoked permission to enter without my presence, it stopped (however, to make ME look uncooperative, they would schedule repairs during my work hours and when I said call first, they would be right outside my door when they called). Trust me, I have the physical proof.
If you have a disability, or a child with a disability, good luck getting in; if you get in, good luck staying (unless you're an employee, of course, and if you're NOT white). Yes, racial discrimination runs rampant as well; if you ARE white, hang it up now and find somewhere else. You won't be allowed to stay long.
They were nice when I moved in, but boy have they gone downhill. I'm glad I'm leaving.

Everything you have stated about this apartment community is entirely true as I can say the same things I've had problems with. It's a shame this community can't be brought to the attention of housing department, because this complex would definately fail in terms of public services for tenants.

It's a shame to hear these types of problems when I'm from Michigan and trying to relocate to Tucson, Az. It's funny that you say there's a racial discrimination there when thats pretty much every where. You think you have problems being white try being black in Port Huron, Michigan. Its not an easy task but I can at least say they don't treat you like trash. If these are the problems that are going on here they should really consider fixing them because this just changed my mind about calling this place home.
