I live at Cimarron Place now and have for about 2 years. The management was great when I first moved in. Then ---- left after year or so for another complex and it all went downhill. The leasing agent, -----, just left and I'm hoping that things will start getting done now. I just hope it's not the manager who was avoiding fixing the pool and the pool gate (which is fixed for the most part...if you don't make sure it latches, there's a slim chance it won't...you have to shut it and wiggle it to be sure it's locked), and the noise from the landscapers (which has been fixed just recently!).
I don't want to move because, for the most part, it's a good complex. It is pretty quiet (except for when some idiot decides to bump his music from his car near your apartment).
The laundry room is pretty good. The dryers actually DRY your clothes on the first go-'round!
And the hot tub (which works more often and for longer since ----- left) is large and HOT. The pool could be heated a bit more during the winter months. There are several tenants who use it throughout the winter. This winter was awful, though. It was cold for many months - same with the hot tub (both have been working for several weeks now).
There are some new tenants who have arrogant guests over every weekend who park in front of the dumpster on the north side of the parking lot. If you don't have a reserved parking spot, parking isn't great - especially in the summer.
There's one family who lives by the pool who let their children run wild around the complex sometimes. They're loud and rude and put their hands on the cars sometimes so you end up with handprints all over your windows! I wish they'd move!
There aren't any get-togethers or community activities and the club house is rarely used and always locked.
It's starting to look better. I wish there was a community association, though. Something to organize people so the people who wait until the management goes home to break all the rules can be reprimanded. Like an advisory committee that would forward concerns to the management.
All in all, it's not bad for its location and price. If the managment doesn't improve more than it has, though, I'll be moving.

It seems that you really don't like it at this place, so move you fat old balding tub of lard, yeah you complain about the pool gate and threaten to shut the community down and get in trouble with the City. And after the pool gets closed for 3 weeks for when they do finally get the gate fixed, your down there every night basking like a whale in warm water, ugh. Your a hypocritical whiner. Go blow it out that pie hole you should stop shoveling food into and go put it to good use. Why worry about a gate if you know that your children are being supervised. Just make it hard on everyone else so that they get pissed off too. I and several other residents complained to the office about the pool being closed, and were told that "Someone" had threatened to call the city on the community cause of the gate. We really wanted to hang the "whiner" by... well you get the Idea. I am actually sickened by this review, if I knew who you were I'd probably walk right up to you and let you have a piece of my mind.

A couple of things for Anonymous: *This is NOT the place for management company response, J*a*s*o*n (the former leasing agent from Cimarron Place) *A faulty pool gate would not have shut the "community" down - just the unsafe pool area, and 3 weeks to fix a pool gate is entirely unsatisfactory, especially since every time I talked to you about it, there was a new, different excuse as to why it was not yet fixed *The pool was NOT closed for just 3 weeks - The hot tub was not heated for almost 3 months (September, October, and part of November) and the pool was not heated for almost 2 months (October and part of November)- Neither one was cleaned regularly again until mid-December *When I pay rent to a property that advertises a heated pool & spa I expect to be able to use those amenities, not a lame tirade from some inept leasing agent about how heated pool doesn't mean year-round (I know this is NOT the same sales pitch we received before signing our first of two leases with Cimarron Place) I would like to point out to anyone reading this that this leasing agent has been promoted to financial manager at Rio Seco, and the new leasing agent at Cimarron Place is much more responsive. Unfortunately, the manager manages 3 properties, so she's essentially a part-time manager at each one.
