Keep Looking

When I moved into Colonia del Rio, I thought it seemed like a pretty nice place to live. Yes, the location is good, the landscaping looks nice, and the staff seem very professional when you first meet them. Then you learn the truth.
The walls are so thin that you can hear everything happening in the apartments above, next to, and behind you. This becomes extremely annoying when a nymphomaniac shares a bedroom wall with yours.
Management continually make promises about new features being added to the complex - such as the exercise facility that was supposed to open in March of 2002 and is still not finished, or the clubhouses that opened about six months later than they were supposed to.
My "reserved" parking space was next to a sprinkler, and the sprinkler continually sprayed my car and created hard water stains that cost $200 to remove. Not only did the (mis)manager refuse to reassign my parking space or remove the sprinkler, she did not so much as apologize for the damage to my new car, much less reimburse me for the money I spent repairing it.
I only lived at Colonia del Rio for a year - and that was eleven months too long. I couldn't wait for my lease to be up so that I could get the heck out. There are plenty of bigger, better, cleaner, more convenient, and less expensive apartment complexes in Tucson - save your money and your sanity and keep looking.
