I am really surprised by some of the comments left here. We have lived here for 9 months and have been pretty pleased. We have had a few minor problems, but they are problems you would have at any apartment complex. We are moving out now only because they are increasing the rent and for $1125 we could rent a really nice big house with a back yard and covered patio. Anyway - the location of this complex is awesome, and we have never had any issues with anything being stolen. I think any car thefts that have happened have been on the Hacienda side of the complex. Hacienda is cheaper and not as nice, and even though Colonia and Hacienda share sidewalks and are managed by the same people, they are a lot different. I have two kids and have felt very safe in this community. The management has changed a couple of times, but other than the new management increasing prices, it hasn't been a problem. I have had a few maintenance issues (again - you get this at every apartment complex!), but the maintenace staff is pretty responsive and really nice. The business center is not that great - the printers/copy machines never work. The pools are nice and one is heated during the winter. It is right on the Rillito bike path which is great. The grounds crew keep this place spotless. I tried to take a group of pre-schoolers outside to help pick up litter, and we literally could not find anything to pick up! Overall - I think the current lease prices are a little expensive (we rented our 3 bedroom for $1009, but they want $1125 for it now) but we have enjoyed staying here and I would reccommend it to others. P.S. Remember that most people who post on these websites are bitter about their complex/management for some reason and they think they can get back at them by posting negative stuff.
